Yesterday I went for a 5km run + a couple of km to the track and back and a workout. The workout involved stretches, pushups, situps, plank, crunches and leg-raises. This is in preparation for my long run this Sunday and hopefully everything will go well. It will be my longest and I hope to break my record doing this. I plan to take Friday and Saturday off to rest for my run...so hopefully that will pay off.

25 min Workout
Yesterday I did a 25 min workout comprising of stretches, pushups, situps, crunches, plank, leg-raises, and supermans. It was a tough workout considering my arms were still aching from the previous day. Today I feel that my arms are really hurting and I think I'll only be going for a run today.

30 mins workout + 7 km Run
On Monday I did a 30 min workout involving stretches, situps, pushups, crunches, plank, glute-raises and leg-raises. This workout was after about 1 week on not doing any sort of workout and it really felt good to start working out again.
I also did a 7km run on Tuesday in 42 mins 36secs. It's a little slow for me, but I think that time will improve in the future. Right now I have to keep motivated to workout on a regular basis.

30 min workout
Yesterday I did a 30 min workout with stretches, pushups, situps, leg-raises, glute-bridges, plank and crunches. An unstable work schedule is a real killer for working out. I hope my current project is over this work, cos it's really messing up my workout evenings.

30 min workout
Yesterday I did a 30 min workout consisting of stretches, pushups, situps, crunches, leg-raises, glute-bridges, plank and exercise wheel. It was very fast and very intense. The momentum has been good so far and I hope I can maintain this consistently.

32 min run + workout
Yesterday I did a 32 min run and a workout which consisted of stretches, pushups, crunches, plank and the exercise wheel. The wheel was again a very difficult exercise and I think I really need to improve my abs with the wheel since it seems that my abs are very weak. In any case, the + workout combination really made me sweat and I think this combination is the best for anyone planning to get ripped. I will try to do this more in the future.

20 min workout
Yesterday I did a 20 min workout with stretches, pushups, situps, crunches, leg-raises, glute-bridges, plank and exercise wheel. The exercise wheel was surprisingly difficult. I could do only 5 reps. Initially, I did not believe that this was a difficult exercise, but now I have developed a new respect for it and will continue to do it every day. Check out the video I found on Youtube below.
Oh and Happy New Year to all!

30min workout
Today I did a 30 min workout with stretches, pushups, situps, crunches, leg-raises and plank. It was very intense and I didn't slow down during the whole workout. My goal is to do this same routine daily until I reach my goal of being ripped.

35 min workout
Wow....could not work out yesterday due to heavy workload. So today was especially intense. I basically workout out really hard today for the full 35 mins. I did stretches, pushups, squats, crunches, plank, supermans, leg-lifts and glute-bridges. It felt good to do a really intense workout. I will definitely try to do this on a daily basis. I also have not done a long run in a while. Maybe I'll try to do a long run tomorrow. It will depend on how much work I can get done during the day. Balancing work, life and working out is a real challenge, and managing that balance is the critical part of making working out a lifestyle choice.

32 mins Workout
Yesterday I managed to squeeze in a 32 min workout in between class and project meeting. I did pushups, squats, crunches, bicycle kicks, leg-lifts, plank, supermans and glute-bridges. It was very intensive an done with speed. I felt really good after the workout and think that more intensive workout like this are better. I'll try to incorporate more of these types of workouts in the future.

42 mins workout
Today I managed to do a 42 min workout which was longer than my previous best of 40 mins. The workout consisted of stretches, pushups, crunches, planks, leg-lifts, squats and supermans. I usually take a rest day after unusually long runs which was the 10k run that I did they day before yesterday. However, I didn't feel too tired yesterday and could have worked out, but decided not to risk injury. I think it's a sign that I am really getting stronger. It felt good to work out fully today and I didn't feel any problems when working out.
I found this great article on gymjunkies.com written by Vic Magary about fitness myths. The article is hilarious as he breaks down the myths that surround exercises, muscle building, supplements and fitness. Have a read of it when you've got some time.

40 mins workout
Wow....I missed my workout yesterday because I had to work really late (Came home at 11pm). So today I decided to push myself as hard as possible. I managed to do a 40 min workout instead of my usual 30 min workout and I think I made up for yesterday a little. Tomorrow, I will push myself again and see if I can hit 40 mins of continuous workout. So in today's workout I managed to do stretches, pushups, squats, crunches, supermans, plank and leg-lifts.
In the meantime, I came across this article about the world's heaviest people...and boy do they look HUGE. You might ask how they let themselves go to such weights; but in reality it is so easy to just become fat. The human species has had to survive for millenia without sufficient food and has adapted to storing food whenever it can. Only recently has there been food in abundance on Earth - past 50 to100 years. So the natural state of the body is to store food and become as fat as possible. This therefore makes it a constant battle with the body for those of us who want to stay lean. This is why we need to work out EVERYDAY as much as possible to stay lean. For inspiration, please check out www.simplyshredded.com which has great interviews with champion athletes who share their stories with the website. These stories truly highlight the effort needed to maintain a lean physique and make us realize how hard we really need to work to stay lean and be shredded!

30 mins Workout
Today I did a 30 mins workout with stretches, pushups, squats, crunches, plank, supermans, and leg-lifts. I really didn't have the motivation to workout today, so I watched one of the new videos uploaded by bodyrock.tv today and immediately had the inspiration to workout. I know that motivation is one of the key reasons for my visiting bodyrock.tv and today's video was very inspirational. In the video, Zuzana talks only about her diet problems and how she also has problems coping with proper nutrition by over-eating etc. It's great that she told us viewers this. NONE of the other instructors in other websites ever confess their problems to us normal folk just trying to reduce weight and get a great body. This video had no workouts but truly inspired me to do a killer workout. Truly inspiring...

30 mins workout yesterday
Yesterday I did another 30 mins workout with stretches, pushups, situps, crunches, leg-lifts, and plank. I also tried walking lunges for the first time and they seem to be a really good exercise. I will probably make them a routine exercise in the future. Trying to get cardio into my routine is difficult as it was raining again today. What the hell is wrong with the cold rainy English weather. Can't wait to get back to tropical climates so that I can do my cardio properly. Again for inspiration I came across Glenda's story on on livestrong.com
30 min workout yesterday
Yesterday I did a 30 mins workout with stretches, pushups, situps, crunches, leg-lifts, and plank. Keeping up with the workouts is getting really hard with energy levels and motivations being low whenever I plan for the exercise. The stupid English rainy weather also doesn't help at all with my cardio routine. Have to wait for a dry day to do the cardio...which may be never in England. For motivation I rely on scooby a lot. His success story page is very inspirational and his new list uploaded today on his new domain getfit4free.org is good inspiration for my next few workouts.

30 mins workout
Today I did a 30 mins workout with stretches, pushups, situps, crunches, leg-lifts, and plank. It was an intense workout because I really was motivated just before the workout. I realise that it's important to get motivation before a workout and will be looking out for motivation tips for future workouts. In the meantime, websites like www.simplyshredded.com is a good motivational site for me.

5.13km in 32 mins + Workout
Today I tried a new route which was 5.13km which I managed to do in 32 mins. It was a little slow. But that was because I slowed down at different junctions to get my bearings. Anyway, I still came back and did 15 mins of pushups, crunches, leg-lifts supermans and plank. It was a good combination of running and workouts. I think I will make this combination every time I run. It felt good.
One way I measure how far I have run is by using the distance measurement tool in google maps. This should be enabled in the labs settings of the maps and allows distances to be measured very accurately. This is a great tool for calculating distances that you have run.
